Police are investigating a crash at Willunga South, SA

Two people have been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a crash at Willunga South this afternoon, according to SA Police.

Just after 1pm police and emergency services were called to Victor Harbor Road after reports a car had collided with the rear of a truck travelling south up Willunga Hill. The car caught fire and subsequently ignited the trailer of the truck.

The two occupants of the vehicle managed to get out of the car and fire crews extinguished the blaze.

The driver of the truck was treated for shock at the scene.

Major Crash investigators are currently at the scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
