Police are responding to fatal crash at Furner, South Australia

Major Crash officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal crash in the states south east last night.

At 10pm on Friday 30 July, emergency services were called to Princes Highway after reports of a crash involving a Toyota Corolla sedan and a prime mover.

Sadly, the driver of the sedan, a 19-year-old man from Craigmore man died at the scene.

The driver of the truck, a 49-year-old woman from Victoria, was taken to the local hospital where she was treated for minor injuries

Traffic restrictions were in place on Princes Highway but the road has since reopened.

The man's death is the 62nd life lost on SA roads this year, compared to 56 at the same time last year.
