Police are responding to fatal crash at Howells Valley, south of Singleton

Police are investigating a fatal crash south of Singleton.

About 8.30am today (Saturday 23 March 2019), a motorcycle and a utility collided on Putty Road, Howells Valley, about 50km south of Singleton.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 44-year-old man, sustained serious injuries and was taken by air ambulance to John Hunter Hospital where he died.

The driver of the utility, a 58-year-old man, was uninjured. He was taken to Singleton Hospital for mandatory blood and urine tests.

Officers from Hunter Valley Police District have commenced an inquiry into the incident.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
