Police are responding to fatal crash at Spreyton

Sadly a male motorcycle rider has died as a result of a two vehicle crash at Spreyton this morning.

At 6.50am, police attended a two vehicle crash between a Kawasaki Motorcycle and a Mitsubishi Utility on Kelcey Tier Road.

Sadly the 24-year-old Spreyton man who was riding the motorcycle was found deceased at the scene.

The 59-year-old man who was driving the Mitsubishi Utility was treated for minor injuries.

Police remain on the scene conducting an investigation into the cause of the crash.

Kelcey Tier Road, between Loone Lane and Ellice Hill Drive, remains closed and motorists are asked to avoid this area until the scene is cleared, which is anticipated to be around noon today.

The family of the 24-year-old man has been notified and police can advise that speed is not a contributing factor in relation to this crash.
