A woman has died after a crash in the state's north.
About 4.20pm today (Thursday 16 October 2025), emergency services responded to reports of a vehicle travelling along Hammond Street, Bellingen, when it left the roadway and crashed into two parked and unattended cars in a carpark.
Bystanders and attending officers from Coffs-Clarence Police District performed CPR on a female passenger – believed to be aged in her 70's – until the arrival of NSW Ambulance paramedics. However, she could not be revived and died at the location.
Both the female driver aged in her 60's and another female passenger in her 80's were treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Coffs Harbour Hospital.
The older woman is in a critical condition with the driver being listed in a serious but stable condition.
A crime scene has been established pending the arrival of officers from the Crash Investigation Unit.
