A 60-year-old El Arish woman died this morning in a single vehicle crash on the Bruce Highway, near Bowen.
Preliminary information indicates the vehicle the woman was driving was travelling south when it left the highway around 10.30am crashing into a gully.
The woman, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Investigations by the Forensic Crash Unit are continuing and anyone with any information which could assist is asked to contact police (details below).
