A man has died following a single-vehicle crash at Coffs Harbour this morning.
About 6.45am (Monday 7 February 2022), emergency services were called to the Pacific Highway near Diggers Beach Road after reports of a crash.
Police have been told a 4WD crossed to the opposite side of the road and crashed into a barrier.
The driver of the vehicle, a 44-year-old man, died at the scene; he is yet to be formally identified.
Officers from Coffs/Clarence Police District established a crime scene, which will be examined by specialist forensic police.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is underway.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
