A teenager has died after a two-vehicle crash in Sydney's south west.
About 8.10pm on Thursday 5 June 2025, emergency services were called to the intersection of Hume Highway and Worth Street, following reports of a two-vehicle crash.
Officers attached to Bankstown Police Area Command were told a truck and a hatchback have collided.
One of the passengers of the hatchback – a 15-year-old boy – died at the scene.
The second passenger – believed to be a boy – was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Westmead Children's Hospital in a critical condition.
The driver – believed to be a woman – was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.
The third passenger – believed to be a man – was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to the same hospital in a stable condition.
The truck driver – a man age yet to be identified – was taken to Bankstown Hospital for mandatory testing.
A crime scene has been established and police commenced an investigation into the incident.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
As Hume Highway is closed on eastbound, police urge public to avoid the area at this time.
