Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal crash in Puckapunyal this afternoon.
It is understood a car crashed into a tree off Seymour-Tooborac Road about 3.55pm.
The yet-to-be identified driver died at the scene.
Two children, who were passengers of the vehicle, were airlifted to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash remains ongoing.
Seymour-Tooborac Road remains closed, and diversions are in place.
It is understood a b-double truck carrying a portable home was seen in the area at the time of the crash.
Police are keen to speak to the driver of the truck, as well as anyone who may have witnessed the crash.
