Police are responding to fatal crash, Midgee

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating after a man died in a single-vehicle crash on the Bruce Highway at Midgee this morning (September 22).

Investigations indicate at about 4.30am a sedan was being driven south along the Bruce Highway when it left the road, collided with a tree, and caught alight.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a 21-year-old The Range man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Forensic Crash Unit is asking for any witnesses to the crash, or anyone with dash-cam footage of the incident, to contact police.
