Police are responding to fatal crash, Oakhurst

A 27-year-old man has died following a two-vehicle crash at Oakhurst near Maryborough this afternoon (November 24).

Initial investigations indicate at approximately 3.25pm at the intersection of Mungar Road and Old Mill Road, a crash has occurred between a Toyota Corolla and Toyota Landcruiser.

The driver of the Toyota Corolla, a 27-year-old Pimpama man, suffered critical injuries and died at the scene.

The passenger in the Corolla, a 27-year-old Maryborough woman, was transported to Hervey Bay Hospital in a critical condition.

The two occupants in the Toyota Landcruiser, a 68-year-old Tasmanian man and 64-year-old Tasmanian woman, were transported to Hervey Bay Hospital in stable conditions.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash.
