Police Are Responding To Fatal Crash - Port Macquarie 6 December

A man has died following a crash in the state's north overnight.

Just after 10pm yesterday (Friday 5 December 2025), emergency services were called to Ocean Drive, Port Macquarie, following reports of a crash.

Officers attached to Mid North Coast Police District attended and found a white station wagon had crashed into a power pole.

The driver – a man believed to be aged in his 70s – was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, he died at the scene.

Police have established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances of the crash.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
