Police Are Responding To Fatal Crash, Townsville 30 April

Officers from the Forensic Crash Unit are investigating a fatal traffic crash at Condon this morning, 30 April.

Reports were received shortly after 9am that a black Nissan X-Trail had collided with traffic lights at the intersection of Riverway Drive and Gollogly Lane and caught fire.

The 40-year-old male driver, from Rasmussen, was transported to Townsville University Hospital with life-threatening injuries and was declared deceased a short time later.

There were no other occupants in the vehicle.

Anyone with information or who may have witnessed the crash is urged to contact police.
