Police Are Responding To Fatal Crash - Wetherill Park

A motorcycle rider has died in a two-vehicle crash in Sydney's south west.

About 4:45pm yesterday (Wednesday 8October 2025), emergency services were called to Newton Road, Wetherill Park, following reports of a crash.

Officers attached to Fairfield City Police Area Command attended and found two vehicles – a Toyota and Yamaha motorcycle – had collided.

The motorcycle rider was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition.

The driver of the car – a 44-year-old man – was uninjured. He was taken to Liverpool Hospital for mandatory testing.

Police established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

About 1am today (Thursday 9 October 2025), police were notified the rider, a 24-year-old man, died in hospital as a result of his injuries.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
