Police arrest five in four stolen cars recovered at Oakden, South Australia

Police have arrested five people after finding three stolen cars and a stolen scooter at Oakden overnight.

About 10.30pm on Saturday 8 October, police received a report of a vehicle driving erratically on Wright Road at Valley View. Checks on the Volkswagen Tiguan revealed that it was stolen, taken during a break-in at Toorak Gardens the night before.

Police patrols searched the area but were unable to locate the stolen Tiguan.

About an hour later, patrols were in the Oakden area when they located the abandoned Tiguan. A short distance away, police also located a Mercedes sedan which had been stolen during the same Toorak Gardens break-in. A stolen Kia Sorrento and a scooter were also found in the vicinity.

Investigations led Police to search a nearby home where they arrested five people.

The five currently being interviewed by police are -

  • A 12-year-old boy from Campbelltown
  • A 13-year-old boy from Hampstead Gardens
  • A 13-year-old boy from Craigmore
  • A 16-year-old boy from Oakden
  • An 18-year-old man from Mawson Lakes
