Police arrest four in stolen vehicle - Carrum Downs

Four teenagers have been arrested following an incident in Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs overnight (17 July).

Police spotted an allegedly stolen Nissan X-TRAIL travelling along Heatherton Road, Dandenong about 1am.

The vehicle allegedly took off when police tried to intercept.

It was monitored travelling through a number of suburbs including Rowville, Dandenong, Lyndhurst, Skye, Frankston and Carrum Downs.

Police again spotted the vehicle with assistance from the Air Wing on Frankston-Dandenong Road, where it came to a stop.

The occupants fled the vehicle on foot and ran into the backyard of a home on Wedge Road.

A 17-year-old girl from Frankston North and 19-year-old woman from Frankston were quickly arrested.

Two males, a 16-year-old from Carrum Downs and 17-year-old from Carrum Downs, were subsequently arrested with help from the Dog Squad.

All four are currently in custody assisting police with their enquiries.

The car is alleged to have been stolen from outside an address on Blaxland Avenue, Frankston South.

Police believe a fifth person may still be outstanding and the investigation remains ongoing.
