Police arrest Lone Wolf OMCG member, Gold Coast

A 28-year-old Lone Wolf OMCG member has been arrested by officers from Taskforce Maxima on the Gold Coast this morning, Queensland Police say.

Officers from Taskforce Maxima, with the assistance of Polair and Dog Squad officers located the man at an address in Varsity Lakes. The man fled the address through an upstairs bedroom and climbed onto the roof before he was arrested by officers.

During a search of the address, police located steroids and mobile phones.

The man was arrested on a return to prison warrant and charged with possession of dangerous drugs and obstruct police.

"The targeting of persons involved in criminal gangs remains a high priority for Taskforce Maxima. Today’s apprehension is also a good example of how various disciplines within the Queensland Police Service can work together to ensure the safe and effective apprehension of a wanted person, whilst minimising the risk to the community," Acting Detective Superintendent Phillip Stevens of Taskforce Maxima said.
