Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman in Upper Ferntree Gully this morning.
Officers were called to a home Seaby Avenue following reports of a deceased female about 7.50am.
Upon entering the premises, attending officers located the deceased.
She is yet to be formally identified.
A man, known to the woman, was arrested at the property.
The 46-year-old Upper Ferntree Gully man will be interviewed by detectives in relation to the woman's death.
