Police arrest man after Mickleham shooting

Armed Crime Squad detectives have arrested a 30-year-old man following a non-fatal shooting in Mickleham yesterday.

He was arrested in the CBD today, shortly after 1.20pm and is now being interviewed by police.

Police have been unable to locate his vehicle, believed to be a gold Mercedes Sedan E Class (early 2000s model) with significant damage to the front of the vehicle.

Detectives are appealing for anyone with dash cam footage or CCTV around Hockley Avenue in Mickleham or Transit Drive in Campbellfield to come forward.

The arrest follows an incident where a 31-year-old Mickleham man was shot in his vehicle on Hockley Avenue, Mickleham, just before 8am on Thursday morning.

He was conveyed to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
