Police arrest man after pickpocket theft at Glenroy RSL

A man has been arrested after a man's wallet was stolen in a pickpocket-style theft at a Glenroy RSL club this month.

It is alleged the man attended the licensed venue on Glenroy Road on 3 August and snatched the wallet from the 86-year-old victim's rear pocket just before 3pm.

Moreland detectives arrested a 25-year-old man this afternoon at a Pascoe Vale address.

The victim's personal documents and cards from the wallet were recovered during the execution of a search warrant.

The Pascoe Vale man is currently in custody assisting police with their enquiries.
