Police arrest man after police pursuit - at Seven Hills

A man has been arrested following a police pursuit in Sydney's west overnight.

About 12.40am (Thursday 10 October 2019), a utility was stolen from the corner of Marion and Church streets, Parramatta.

Officers from Cumberland Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries.

Just after 1am, the utility was sighted travelling on Abercrombie Street and turning into Amazon Road at Seven Hills.

A police pursuit was initiated through Seven Hills after the vehicle failed to stop.

The pursuit was terminated after the utility crashed into a parked Ford Fiesta sedan on Orinoco Close.

Police arrested the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a 36-year-old man, before he was taken to Westmead Hospital under police guard. He has since been released from hospital.

About 3.30pm today (Thursday 10 October 2019), the 36-year-old man was taken to Parramatta Police Station.

Charges are expected to be laid.
