Police arrest man after series of armed robberies

Fawkner Embona Investigators arrested a man yesterday (29 July) following a series of armed robberies on convenience stores and service stations.

A 25-year-old man of no fixed place allegedly committed the four armed robberies on the businesses in Bruswick West, Moonee Ponds, Camberwell and Brunswick East between 25 June and 10 July.

The man has been charged with 15 offences, including armed robbery, attempted carjacking, robbery, intentionally cause injury, theft of motor vehicle, theft and handle stolen goods.

He was remanded in custody overnight to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates Court today (30 July)
