Police Arrest Man After Stabbing - Whalan

A man has been arrested following a stabbing in Sydney's north west today.

About 4.45pm today (Wednesday 17 September 2025), emergency services were called to a home on Bidman Place, Whalan, following reports of a stabbing.

Officers attached to Mount Druitt Police Area Command attended and found a 73-year-old man with a stab wound to the chest.

He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital in a serious condition.

A crime scene was established and investigations commenced.

A 39-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Mount Druitt Police Station where inquiries are continuing.

Investigation is ongoing.
