Police Arrest Man After Three People Injured In Tyers

Police have arrested a man after three people were assaulted in Tyers on Saturday.

Emergency services were called to a property on Cowies Road following reports two men and a woman had been seriously injured about 12.30pm.

Two men, aged 76 and 47, were airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries where they remain in a critical condition.

A 74-year-old woman was taken to hospital with critical injuries and remains in a stable condition.

Tonight, officers were called to reports of the 48-year-old man suspiciously loitering in the vicinity of Tyers-Walhalla Road just before 9pm.

Over the past three days, police conducted numerous searches for the Tyers man who will now be interviewed in relation to the incident.

The parties are understood to be known to each other.
