Police arrest man and woman after Preston burglary

A man and a woman have been arrested after allegedly breaking into a commercial premise on Plenty Road, Preston last month.

Darebin Crime Investigation detectives were investigating the 5 September burglary where a large quantity of Gucci, Louis Vuiton, Channell, Prada and Oroton handbags, purses and jewellery were stolen.

Investigators executed a warrant on a reservoir address on 15 October, locating a large quantity of the alleged stolen property and drugs.

A 34-year-old Reservoir man has been charged with 17 offences, including burglary, theft, handling stolen goods and drug offences.

He was remanded to the Heidelberg Magistrates' Court on 16 October.

A 27-year-old Reservoir woman has been charged with 4 offences, including handling stolen goods, bail offences and possessing proceeds of crime.

She was bailed to appear at the Heidelberg Magistrates' Court on 29 October.
