Police arrest man at Marden, South Australia

A man has been arrested after attempting to break into a house at Marden early this morning.

At 3.10am, Tuesday 10 September, police were called to Lower Port Rush Road after a resident heard noises in their rear yard.

Patrols quickly attended the area viewed some CCTV getting a good description of the offender. A passing motorist advised patrols they saw a man running, he fitted the description and was apprehended on Lower Port Rush Road. It will be alleged the man had attempted to break-into the home via the rear door and was in possession of a screwdriver.

A 33 year-old man from Marden was arrested and charged with attempted serious criminal trespass and going equipped he has been bailed to appear in court on 30 October.
