Police Arrest Man For Abuse Of Public Office

Detectives from South Australia Police's Anti-Corruption Section have today, Friday 9 January arrested a 44-year-old male police officer from the north-eastern suburbs as part of an ongoing investigation.

The man has been charged with abuse of public office and has been granted bail to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 1 April 2026. Following his arrest, the officer has been suspended from duty.

Given the matter is currently better the courts, no further comment will be made at this time.
