Police arrest man for attempt robbery in CBD, South Australia

A man has been arrested following an attempt robbery in the city last night.

It will be alleged that just after 11pm on Sunday 5 December police were called to Wakefield Street after a man approached a man and woman and threatened them and demanded money.

The victims ran and thankfully were not physically injured. The suspect left empty handed.

Eastern district patrols attended and checked nearby CCTV which showed the man boarding a bus on Wakefield Street.

Following an investigation the suspect was located on a bus at South Road Thebarton.

A 31-year-old- man from no fixed address was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated robbery and one count of fail to answer.

He has been refused police bail and will attend in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today (Monday 6 December).
