Police arrest man for peep and pry offences - Pagewood

A man has been charged following an investigation into alleged peep and pry offences on homes in Sydney's east.

Officers from Eastern Beaches Police Area Command commenced investigations late last year after reports a man had been looking through the windows of homes in the Pagewood area.

Police were alerted again yesterday (Thursday 19 January 2023), when a man was seen in the front yard of another home in Pagewood about 8am.

Police were patrolling Maroubra Road at Maroubra when they saw a cyclist allegedly matching the description provided by homeowners.

The 66-year-old man was arrested and taken to Maroubra Police Station where he was charged,

• Enter enclosed land without lawful excuse (two counts)

• Peep or pry

• Stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm

• Fail to comply with extended/interim supervision order.

He was refused bail to appear before Waverley Local Court today (Friday 20 January 2023).
