A man was arrested today after allegedly sending 44,000 SMS messages to an Adelaide media outlet.
The online harassment was reported to South Australia Police earlier this month and following an investigation, Southern District Police today arrested a 47-year-old Seaford Rise man and charged him with using a carriage service to harass.
It will be alleged he sent approximately 44,000 text messages and nearly 1,000 images of an abusive and graphic nature over a five-year period.
The arrested man was bailed to appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on 11 June.
