A man has been arrested and a woman is in hospital after a stabbing in East Ryde today.
Emergency services were called to a home on Elliott Avenue, shortly before 2am (Wednesday 15 May 2019), where they found a 50-year-old woman suffering a stab wound to her chest.
The woman was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital by NSW Ambulance paramedics.
Officers from Ryde Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced investigations.
A 53-year-old man was arrested at the home and taken to Ryde Police Station.
The incident is believed to be domestic violence related.
