Police Arrest Man In Stolen BMW At Allenby Gardens

A man was arrested after police spotted him getting into a stolen car at Allenby Gardens overnight.

Police were called to a report of suspicious activity in Samary Street, Allenby Gardens just after 10.30pm on Sunday 24 May.

Patrols saw a white BMW sedan parked in the driveway of a house. Police checks revealed the owner of the car was in the process of reporting it stolen within the last few hours from an Ottoway address.

It will be alleged a man came out of a house and got into the driver's seat of the stolen car. Police quickly moved in and arrested him.

The 30-year-old Pennington man was charged with illegal use of a motor vehicle and bailed to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on 13 July.

The owner attended and collected their car.
