Police arrest man over drug supply at dance festival

A man has been arrested by Wetherill Park Region Enforcement Squad (RES) following an investigation into drug supply at a Western Sydney dance party earlier this month.

Officers from South West Metropolitan Region conducted a police operation in response to The Midnight Mafia Music Festival at Sydney Showground on Saturday 11 May 2019.

As part of the operation, police from Wetherill Park Region Enforcement Squad were investigating the supply of prohibited drugs in and around festival areas.

Following extensive investigations, a 20-year-old man was arrested by Wetherill Park Region Enforcement Squad at a home at Kellyville Ridge just before 8am today (Thursday 23 May 2019).

The man, who attended the festival, was taken to Riverstone Police Station, where he will be charged with drug supply offences.

Inquiries are continuing.
