Police arrest teens after home invasions, carjacking and pursuit in south

Southern Metro Crime Team detectives have charged four teenagers following a series of alleged incidents in Melbourne's south east on Saturday.

The alleged incidents include an aggravated home invasion in Marshy Av, Cranbourne East about 6am; a carjacking where the victim was struck by their vehicle on Solandra Boulevard, Clyde North about 6.15am; an attempted aggravated burglary in Lantana Drive, Clayton; and an aggravated home invasion in Bevan Avenue, Clayton South just before 11am.

Four teens were arrested following a police pursuit that concluded at the intersection of Venn Grove and Nobel Drive, Cranbourne West about 4.40pm.

An 18-year-old Cranbourne East man has been charged and remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 11 January.

Three other male teenagers, a 17-year-old from Clyde North, a 17-year-old from Cranbourne East, and a 16-year-old from Cranbourne will appear at a Children's Court today.

All have been charged with two counts of home invasion, aggravated burglary, attempted aggravated burglary, three counts of theft of motor vehicle, and two counts of recklessly cause injury.
