A man has been charged after an alleged armed robbery in Sydney's south west last month, and a man and woman have been charged over alleged drug offences.
About 12.30am on Tuesday 26 August 2025, police attached to Campsie Police Area Command were called to a unit on Kentucky Road, Riverwood, following reports of a robbery.
On arrival, police were told two men – one armed with a shotgun and the other man a knife – had entered the home and threatened the occupant – a 43-year-old man – before taking several items and cash.
There were no reports of injuries.
Police commenced an investigation into the incident.
Following extensive inquiries, about 3.10pm yesterday (Wednesday 3 September 2025) police attended Johnstone Street, Peakhurst. Police attempted to stop a vehicle leaving the address.
When a car drove away from the location and the driver allegedly failed to stop as directed, a pursuit was initiated by officers attached to Traffic and Highway Patrol Command.
The vehicle was stopped, and the occupants were arrested on Henry Lawson Drive, Peakhurst, by officers attached to South West Metropolitan Operations Support Group.
Police allegedly found prohibited drugs after searching the vehicle.
The driver – a 36-year-old man – and two passengers – a 43-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman – were taken to Campsie Police Station.
The 36-year-old was charged with robbery in company while armed with dangerous weapon, and pursuit – not stop – drive recklessly.
A warrant was also executed in relation to the robbery offence.
The 43-year-old man was charged with possess prohibited drug (two counts), possess prescribed restricted substance (two counts), and hinder or resist officer in the execution of duty,
The 28-year-old was charged with supply prohibited drug greater than indictable and less than commercial quantity.
They were all refused bail to appear before Bankstown Local Court today (Thursday 4 September 2025).
