Police arrest three men after Cenotaph damaged - Martin Place

Three men have been arrested after a Cenotaph was damaged in Sydney's CBD at the weekend.

Yesterday (Sunday 30 May 2021), officers from Sydney City Police Area Command commenced an investigation after being told the bayonet of the Cenotaph had been damaged.

Inquiries revealed the damage occurred just before 3.10am on Saturday 29 May 2021.

Following an appeal for information, three men, aged, 19, 20 and 21, were arrested at Sutherland Police Station about 1.30pm today (Monday 31 May 2021) where they are currently assisting police with inquiries.

Inquiries continue.
