Police Arrest Two For Gun Manufacturing At Craigmore

Two people were arrested over alleged firearms manufacturing at a Craigmore home this week.

About 5pm on Monday 31 August, Northern District Police attended and searched a Craigmore address.

It will be alleged officers located evidence of firearms manufacturing, a sawn-off air rifle, a homemade firearm, firearm barrels and a large quantity of ammunition.

Two people at the property were arrested.

A 35-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman, both from Craigmore, were charged with possess firearm without a licence, manufacture a firearm without a licence and possess ammunition without a licence.

They were refused police bail and appeared in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court yesterday, Tuesday 1 September.
