Police arrest two men after robbing Uber Driver, South Australia

Two men were arrested after allegedly robbing an Uber driver at Ridleyton this morning.

Police were called to Blight Street, Ridleyton just after 4.30am on Sunday 29 May. It will be alleged a passenger had tried to steal the Uber driver's phone and wallet, but was unsuccessful. Another man then came out of an address and threatened the driver with a knife before stealing cash and his phone. The two men then went into the house.

The Uber driver was not physically injured during the robbery.

Police attended the address and located and arrested two suspects. The driver's phone and the knife allegedly used in the robbery were recovered.

A 30-year-old Croydon Park man and a 37-year-old Pooraka man were both charged with aggravated robbery. They were both refused bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday.
