Police arrest woman after Seaton pursuit, South Australia

A woman has been arrested following a pursuit at Seaton.

Police will allege that about 4.10am today (Sunday 14 February), a patrol spotted a black Mitsubishi sedan being driven erratically on Tapleys Hill Road. The car was seen to drive over a median strip and continue south, while police activated their emergency lights to try and stop the vehicle.

It continued on to Henley Beach Road at Brooklyn Park where the pursuit was terminated due to the dangerous manner of driving.

Other patrols saw the Mitsubishi travel west on Holbrooks Road where the vehicle stopped, and the driver was arrested.

Further checks revealed the car may have been stolen.

The driver, a 24-year-old Kent Town woman was charged with numerous offences including illegal use of a motor vehicle, engaging in a police pursuit, driving unlicenced, refuse alcotest and an active warrant.

She was refused bail to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow.
