Police arrest woman over home invasion after being detained by occupant - Canley Heights

A woman has been arrested after she was allegedly involved in a home invasion before being detained by the occupant in Sydney's west this morning.

About 4am (Thursday 12 August 2021), police were called to a home on Fernlea Place, Canley Heights, following reports of a home invasion.

Police have been told three people allegedly forced entry into the house before one of them, a woman aged in her mid-30s, was detained by a man who lived at the house. The others fled on foot.

The man was at home with a woman and two children at the time.

Officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command attended and arrested the woman. She was taken to Liverpool Hospital as a precautionary measure and is under police guard.

A crime scene has been established and detectives are investigating.
