Police car rammed in Drysdale

Police are investigating after a parked police vehicle was rammed in Drysdale earlier this morning, Victoria Police say.

Police members were conducting a routine patrol when they noticed a man loitering outside a business in Portarlington Road about 4.10am.

The man watched as the police car came to a stop, before jumping into his own vehicle, believed to be a late 1990s model Holden Commodore.

The Commodore has then rammed the side of the police car before driving off.

The police members were not injured and their vehicle sustained minor damage.

Police are still searching for the purple or blue Commodore, which lost its front bumper during the ramming.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
