Police charge driver with PCA after Earlwood crash

A woman has been charged with high-range drink driving following a crash in Sydney's south west.

About 5.20pm yesterday (Thursday 4 March 2021), an Audi Q2 SUV was travelling south on Twyford Avenue, Earlwood, when the driver allegedly attempted to make a right turn into Watkin Avenue and collided with a parked Nissan Navara.

Officers from Burwood Traffic and Highway Patrol attended, and the driver, a 44-year-old woman, was subjected to roadside breath test, returning a positive result.

She was arrested and taken to Ashfield Police Station, where a breath analysis returned an alleged reading of 0.248.

The woman was issued a court attendance notice for high-range PCA and negligent driving, to appear before Burwood Local Court on Tuesday 30 March 2021.

Her driver's licence was also suspended.
