Police have charged five men following several break and enters in the State’s North East, NSW Police say.
Strike Force Koraus was established in June 2016 by detectives attached to Richmond Local Area Command to investigate several break and enters.
About 11am yesterday today, officers executed simultaneous search warrants at Keen Street, Lismore, and Fischer Street, Goonellabah.
Police will allege during the search a number of items, believed to be stolen were located including computers, ipads, tools, coin collection, camping and sporting equipment.
All items were seized for forensic examination.
Five men were arrested and taken to Lismore Police Station where they were charged.
A 32-year-old man was charged with break and enter house and steal greater than $60,000, six counts of aggravated break and enter with intent in company, three counts of aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence in company.
A 23-year-old man was charged with break and enter house and steal greater than $60,000, ten counts of aggravated break and enter with intent in company, four counts of aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence in company, receive /dispose stolen property and supply prohibited drug.
A 27-year-old man was charged with break and enter house and steal greater than $60,000, conspiracy to commit break, enter and steal.
All three men were refused bail to appear at Lismore Local Court today tomorrow.
A 21-year-old man was charged with supply prohibited drug.
An 18-year-old man was charged with receive/dispose stolen property.
Both men were granted conditional bail to appear at Lismore Local Court on Monday 29 August 2016.
