Police charge man after Arncliffe fight

A man has been charged with affray after an incident at a restaurant in Arncliffe yesterday.

About 1.30am (Sunday 20 October 2019), emergency services were called to a restaurant on Firth Street after a fight broke out between patrons.

Police were told three males began arguing outside the restaurant, with one male threatening two other males with a broken glass bottle.

In the altercation, a 26-year-old man suffered a cut to his right arm.

Officers attached to St George Police Area Command attended and detained a number of males who were under the influence of alcohol.

The 26-year-old was conveyed by police to St George Hospital for treatment.

A 27-year-old man was arrested and taken to Kogarah Police Station where he was charged with affray.

He was refused bail to appear at Sutherland Local Court today (Monday 21 October 2019).

The third man, aged 34, is assisting police with inquiries.
