Police charge man after brawl - Darling Harbour

A man has been charged with affray following a brawl in Sydney's Darling Harbour.

Police were called to a business at Cockle Bay Wharf, Darling Harbour, about 3.15am today (Sunday 10 December 2023), responding to reports of a brawl.

On arrival, officers from Sydney City Police Area Command located multiple people fighting before they dispersed.

A 22-year-old man was arrested and taken to Day Street Police Station, where he was charged with affray.

He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court today (Sunday 10 December 2023), where he was formally refused bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday 13 December 2023.

A further six men were detained, however, released a short time later.

One man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics as a precaution.

Inquiries are continuing into the circumstances surrounding the fight and the identities of others involved.
