Homicide Squad detectives have today charged a man following a fatal shooting in Yarraville last month.
A 55-year-old Altona North man has been charged with two counts of murder.
He remains in hospital under police guard.
The charges follow an incident where two people were fatally shot at a property on Salisbury Street, Yarraville on 31 December.
A 25-year-old Yarraville woman died at the scene, while a 29-year-old Yarraville man passed away in hospital on 1 January.
