Police charge man after Glenrowan West serious collision

Major Collision Investigation Unit investigators have charged a man following a serious collision in Glenrowan West earlier this year.

Investigators allege a historical army truck was travelling north on the Hume Freeway when it was hit from behind by a b-double truck about 10pm on 13 March.

The driver, 54-year-old Drysdale man, was air-lifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

He still remains in hospital recovering from his injuries.

A 56-year-old Beechworth man was charged yesterday with dangerous driving causing serious injury and fail to stop and render assistance at a serious injury collision.

He was bailed to appear at Wangaratta Magistrates' Court on 29 July.
