Police charge man after Golden Gully Collision

Detectives from Major Collision Investigation Unit have charged a man following a fatal collision which occurred in Golden Gully this morning.

Police allege a truck heading south along Woodward Road collided with a cyclist at the intersection of Hattam Street about 12.10pm.

The male cyclist, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.

A 42-year-old Quarry Hill man has been charged with dangerous driving causing death.

He faced an out of sessions hearing and has been remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
