Police Charge Man After House Fire At Orange

A man will face Court after being charged following a house fire in Orange earlier today.

Just after 4.30am (Tuesday 14 July 2026), emergency services were called to Autumn Street, Orange, following reports of a house fire.

Officers attached to Central West Police District attended the scene and located a house well alight before Fire and Rescue NSW arrived and extinguished the blaze.

There were no injuries reported during the incident.

A crime scene has been established, and police commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fire.

Following inquiries, about 9am today (14 July 2026), police arrested a 30-year-old man in Dalton Street, Orange.

He was taken to Orange Police Station, where he was charged with enter Land with intent, damage property by fire & Commit Section 114 offence with previous conviction.

He was refused bail to appear before Orange Local Court tomorrow (Wednesday 15 July 2026).
