Police charge man after investigation into indecent act on Sydney train

A man has been charged after allegedly performing an indecent act in front of a woman on a Sydney train earlier this year.

Police will allege that just after 2.30pm on Thursday 17 June 2019, a 25-year-old woman was on board a train which had just departed from Blacktown Railway Station, when she witnessed a man stand near her and perform an indecent act.

The woman got off the train at Central Railway Station where she reported the incident to patrolling police.

Following extensive inquiries by officers attached to Police Transport Command Central, a 36-year-old man was arrested after attending Day Street Police Station about 4.30pm yesterday (Sunday 18 August 2019).

He was charged with offensive conduct, and wilful and obscene exposure, and refused bail to appear at Central Local Court today (Monday 19 August 2019).
